2007 Route 66 Roadtrip

Every year since 2000, a group of New Beetle owners and enthusiasts have made a pilgrimage in mid-June out to Roswell, NM - to "seek out the mothership" as it were. Organized via a New Beetle email list, the event is called "Roswell2k" and a large part of the enjoyment comes from Beetle owners joining together to caravan out to Roswell.

In 2007, the trip was a special one -- a special "Route 66" caravan met in Chicago, Illinois and drove the length of Route 66 to Santa Monica, California, spending a few days in Roswell for the car show. Here are some of the photos of "Big Things" from that trip.
